What we’re looking for

Look beyond the numbers and help shape well-informed financial decisions.

We are looking for a Financial Analyst who is curious about how businesses actually work: what drives their profitability, how strong their cash flows are, and which risks could affect their future performance.

In this role, you will analyse companies operating across different markets and help assess their suitability as Lendermarket partners. Your findings will support partner selection, risk assessment and long-term business relationships.

What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience in an analytical role within the financial sector, such as financial analysis, credit analysis or risk management.
  • A bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business or a related field.
  • The ability to read and analyse financial statements, with a clear understanding of the relationships between the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. You can assess a company’s profitability, liquidity, indebtedness and financial sustainability.
  • Strong Excel skills, including using formulas, processing data and producing clear, verifiable analyses.
  • Analytical, critical and structured thinking. You can identify inconsistencies, distinguish material information from less relevant detail, and look beyond the figures to understand a company’s business model.
  • Accuracy, independence and strong time management skills. You take ownership of the quality of your work and meet agreed deadlines.
  • A proactive and curious approach: you ask questions, seek out missing information and suggest solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present your findings clearly and support them with sound reasoning.
  • Good written and spoken English, as much of the documentation and communication with international partners is in English.
  • A willingness to use AI tools to improve analytical work and day-to-day efficiency, while critically evaluating their outputs and maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.

An advantage would be:
  • Experience in another industry that has given you a broader understanding of business.
  • Exposure to lending companies, loan portfolios or corporate credit risk assessment.
  • Experience in financial modelling and forecasting.

Your main responsibilities

  • Analyse the financial statements, management reports and other financial and business information of potential and existing partners.
  • Assess companies’ financial position and business models, including profitability, cash flows, liquidity, capital strength, indebtedness and funding sources.
  • For lending companies, analyse loan portfolio quality and performance, including payment arrears, credit losses and risk concentrations.
  • Prepare well-supported assessments and recommendations on companies’ suitability as Lendermarket partners, clearly identifying strengths, risks and matters requiring further investigation.
  • Monitor existing partners’ financial performance and risk indicators, identify material changes and communicate them promptly.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses where needed to assess a company’s resilience under different conditions.
  • Liaise with partners to obtain and clarify information, and collaborate with colleagues working in partnerships, finance, risk compliance and sales.
  • Help improve analytical methods, reporting and workflows, using Excel and appropriate AI and automation tools.

What we offer

  • Meaningful work with responsibility in an international fintech company, where your analysis has clear practical value.
  • The opportunity to influence important decisions and contribute to the quality of Lendermarket’s partner selection and business relationships.
  • International exposure to companies, business models and financial solutions across different markets.
  • Opportunities to deepen your expertise in corporate financial analysis, credit risk and crowdfunding.
  • Independence and ownership in your role, with room to propose and implement improvements to how we work.
  • Collaboration with specialists across different functions, with whom you can discuss findings and work through complex questions.
  • The opportunity to apply AI tools and develop more efficient analytical processes, combining financial expertise with technology.
