About Bolt
Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.
From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.
And we're just getting started.
Why join Bolt?
- Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
- Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
- Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
- Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.
About the role
You will oversee Bolt's AI Operations function within CS Product, owning the operational health and continuous improvement of Alfred, Bolt's AI support agent, across Rides, Delivery, Rentals, and Business. Your focus will span automation performance, conversation quality, knowledge relevance, and market compliance, ensuring Alfred delivers a consistently high-quality customer experience at scale.
You will build and manage a team of AI Operations Program Managers embedded across Bolt's verticals, establishing common quality standards, operational routines, and performance expectations. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, BPO, and vertical teams, you will turn performance signals and recurring feedback into prioritised improvements while removing blockers that affect automation progress.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Define what effective resolution looks like for assigned issue keys, establishing expected conversation outcomes, response quality, and resolution actions that inform evaluations and routine acceptance criteria.
- Diagnose automation performance and escalation patterns, identifying specific blockers such as knowledge gaps, missing data or actions, routine logic issues, policy ambiguity, and compliance constraints.
- Build and maintain routines for assigned issue keys, creating structured conditional logic across decision paths, resolution actions, data points, compensation signals, and customer messaging.
- Improve FAQ and knowledge-base quality for AI consumption, using automation performance insights to identify content gaps and coordinating updates with relevant product and operational teams.
- Monitor issue-level performance and participate in the eval–fix–deploy cycle, reviewing evaluation outputs, categorising failure reasons, translating findings into improvement requests, and validating changes after release.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance as the vertical domain expert, defining requirements for new data points and actions, incorporating market-specific requirements, and translating escalation data and agent feedback into actionable improvement hypotheses.
About you
- You have experience in operations, program management, or product operations, with exposure to AI systems or automation in a practical setting.
- You apply structured problem-solving, with the ability to identify root causes, form hypotheses, and assess solutions.
- You communicate clearly and effectively, particularly in writing, to align stakeholders and support execution.
- You have a working understanding of how AI systems fail, including classification errors, knowledge gaps, and logic issues.
- You are comfortable working with data, using metrics to inform prioritisation and evaluate impact.
- You demonstrate ownership and follow-through, ensuring work progresses from problem identification through to resolution.
