Cybernetica is an Estonian R&D intensive ICT company with ca 200 employees. It has designed and implemented a number of flagship products for Estonia's e-governance. One important business and development area for Cybernetica is security and privacy related products (UXP, SplitKey). Cryptography field is changing constantly, first post-quantum cryptography standards are in place. Due to the changes and development in post-quantum cryptography field, we are looking to recruit an experienced researcher/software engineer to our team, whose main task will be to help implement the new standards. Candidates with less experience are welcome to apply for a junior position in the same department. The research department currently employs several researchers and a number of PhD students and postdocs, cooperating with University of Tartu and Tallinn University of Technology in PhD student training.

They are tightly coupled to its development activities, being inspired by real-world problems and providing the foundations for their solutions. The researchers working at Cybernetica are motivated by the applications of their research results, and we expect the new senior researcher to share this enthusiasm. The tight coupling of research and development activities in Cybernetica allows extremely rapid turn-around times from real-world problems through research activities to deployment.

• To develop and implement complex post-quantum cryptography products
• To analyze cryptographic principles and protocols
• To implement post-quantum cryptography standards
• To mentor junior programmers

• PhD degree (may be in acquisition) in computer science, mathematics, software engineering or in a closely related field
• Good understanding of software development process
• Either experience in software development or academic/industrial performance in the field of post-quantum cryptography and security
• Very good English skills

• Solid experience in software development (5+ years) and PhD degree in cryptography
