Nordic Aviation Group (Nordica and Xfly) is one of the biggest capacity providers in Europe, focused on long-term ACMI contracts with Major European airlines, it has recently expanded its fleet to include the Airbus 320.

To support its expansion, Nordica Aviation Group is recruiting a Power Plant Engineer for the CAMO department. This position is full time, permanent and based in the Tallinn, Estonia headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all fleet engines are enrolled on an EHM and trend monitoring program
  • Monitor the trend monitoring results and initiate corrective actions when required
  • Assist MCC and Maintenance with troubleshooting to resolve chronic APU and engine-related discrepancies
  • Supervise and control all defects outside the scope of line and base maintenance
  • Consult with the manufacturer for technical assistance when required
  • Develop technical data required for modifications, repairs, and troubleshooting of APU, engines, engine and APU systems, and related components
  • Obtain approval for modifications and repairs performed on APU, engines, engine systems, and components
  • Prepare Engine, APU and Propeller shop visit work scopes and monitor Engine, APU and Propeller shop visits/ table-top inspections / repairs
  • Participate in shop visit contract preparation and proposal evaluation; and review shop visit reports and invoices for accuracy
  • Identify spare engine requirements to support operations, contract, and maintenance requirements
  • Manage, control and develop ADs, mandatory and non mandatory service bulletins. (Engines, APU and propellor)
  • Create engine maintenance standards, build specifications for engines, engine systems, and components
  • Participate in creating the fleet reliability reports for engines APU and Propellors
  • Prepare Engineering Orders (EO) for engines and APU and propellors
  • Participate in budget -setting for engine and APU operation and maintenance
  • Represent engineering and engine maintenance at internal and industry meetings
  • Other duties as may be assigned by supervising manager

Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant engineering field
  • 5 years related engineering experience
  • Proficient communication in English language and aviation terminology (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within discipline
  • Committed to continuous improvement, self-development and knowledge growth with the ability to apply newly acquired knowledge
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, schedule and monitor deliverables to meet time and quality targets
  • Able to demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to solving problems
  • Comfortable working in teams and collaborating with global customers and colleagues.
