To ensure continuous quality of the Finnair products and services, we are hiring a
QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER
to join our Quality Assurance team in Estonia.
QA Automation Engineer in Finnair is responsible for performing manual and automated testing in assigned products/projects, working together with agile team, project group and other testers.
Some of your daily tasks are to:
• Plan and define test cases along with the Product/Business owner
• Create and coordinate for test data requirements such as training and testing flights and passengers
• Identify, develop and maintain test environment and test data that are needed throughout the project/product’s test cycles
• Execute test scenarios and record results in test management tool
• Develop test scripts to automate test scenarios and test data, which are repetitive or time consuming and improve test execution speed
• Run test scripts for test scenarios, test data, and work on a pipeline or on-demand basis
• Benchmark test processes and tools and improve them together with developers
• Provide analyzed test results and implement improvement actions
• Support and work in coordination with other testers and other internal teams to provide test and training work support
• Coach and train the agile teams, project group and other testers
To succeed in this role you would need to have:
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in testing and a bachelor´s degree or equivalent in Computer Science / IT/ Electronics
• Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language – JavaScript, TypeScript or Python
• Capability in writing test scripts using any of these – XCUI Test, Appium, Robot Framework, TestCafe, Cypress
• Knowledge of any Global Distribution System (GDS) like Amadeus, Sabre and travel/airline industry is a strong benefit
• Experience in manual testing, both physical devices and virtual devices
• Knowledge of agile / scrum methodologies, test management and other tools like Jenkins, Trello, Miro, Jira, Confluence, etc
• ISTQB foundation or equal testing certificate is an advantage
• Fluency in English
• Once in a month ability to come to work from FBS office at Tartu, Estonia
• Passion to fly and time-to-time ready to travel to Vantaa office
