About the role
As FP&A Business Partner, Unit Economics & Efficiency, you will be the dedicated finance partner to Bolt Micromobility's operations and market teams on the core drivers of profitability. This is an execution-focused, operationally embedded role where you will translate operational performance into financial insight, quantify the value of efficiency improvements, and help ensure cost and productivity decisions are grounded in rigorous analysis.
Reporting directly to the CFO, Micromobility, you will help build the planning and analysis function from the ground up while owning recurring performance tracking, variance analysis, and project-based work on efficiency and cost improvement initiatives. You will also support planning execution by uploading data into the central planning tool and aligning group planning processes with operations to enable timely and efficient reporting.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the Micromobility unit economics model, tracking revenue per ride, cost per ride, contribution margin per vehicle, and market-level profitability, while analysing variances against plan.
- Analyse the operational drivers behind performance, including ride volume, revenue productivity, availability, servicing cost, and field operations cost, then translate findings into actionable insights for market and operations leads.
- Track actuals against budget and forecast, prepare monthly performance reporting with clear variance commentary, maintain KPI dashboards, and support timely and accurate uploads into the central planning tool.
- Build financial models for efficiency initiatives and operational investments, assess ROI and payback, and track realised impact against approved business cases.
- Coordinate planning inputs from operational teams, align group planning processes with operations, improve planning templates and reporting workflows, and identify opportunities to automate or streamline recurring finance processes.
About you:
- Proven experience in FP&A, financial controlling, or operational finance, ideally in a high-growth tech, mobility, or operationally intensive environment.
- Strong unit economics, cost analysis, and financial modelling skills, with the ability to break operational cost structures into key drivers and quantify the impact of change.
- Strong operational judgement, with the ability to connect financial data to operational performance and communicate insights in a way that cross-functional teams can act on.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets. Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Pigment or Adaptive Insights is an advantage.
- A self-sufficient, structured, and reliable working style, with strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence presenting to senior finance and operational stakeholders.
