We are looking for a smart, passionate telematics expert like you who enjoy making cool products that help our customers to be successful in their business. You have a keen interest for the latest in-vehicle and IOT telematics technology trends and ideally you have experience in installation of in-vehicle electronics.
You realise every new trend needs a valid use case to go with it. You also enjoy defining best practices, mentoring and supporting other team members and are healthily obsessed with delivering products in an as efficient way as possible.

Day to day responsibilities:
- Advanced telematics hardware troubleshooting
- Supporting the local sales and operations teams with know-how about the hardware products
- Documenting products, features, and releases
- Being the primary point of contact for escalations by Tier 2 support regarding hardware products and installation process
- Managing relationship and supporting internal and external installation partners
- Contributing the success of the European Hardware and Installation team
- Execution of region-specific maintenance tasks on the HW devices across Europe
- Execution of (Field)tests of new devices / features
- Sourcing of content for device and vehicle installation manuals
We expect a candidate with:
- Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Proven Experience in professional engineering in either GSM/GPS/Telematics or Computer engineering
- Understanding of vehicle to cloud connectivity via: APN, VPN, TCP/IP, UPD / MQTT etc.
- Exposure to hardware interfaces and configuration development
- Good understanding of Cellular modems, phone apps, and associated technologies (GSM, GPRS, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE). Serial interfaces (RS-232) applications experience
- Beneficial to have knowledge of in-vehicle networking protocols (CAN, J1939, J1708, FMS, OBDII) over a wide range of vehicles, and experience with installation of in car electronics (telematics systems)
- Analytical skills to assess information, identify implications and develop logical recommendations
- Insight and prioritising skills to address multiple and overlapping tasks
- Creativity in designing bespoke solutions to specific client requirements
- Strong team player skills, hands on with an internal and external customer focused approach
- Fast learner with IT and technical interest
