Sisu Group is a fast growing startup founded by iGaming veteran Jan Svendsen, who previously founded Coolbet, NordicBet and Triobet - companies with a total exit value of over €240M.
Sisu Group is on a mission to revolutionize the iGaming and online sports betting industry by creating the next-generation platform and products. Our offerings are 100% cloud-based, capable of seamless scaling across different regions and brands.
Sisu Group is funded by staff and outside investors, with secured funding totaling appr. €21M. We currently have over 60 team members and are planning rapid growth for 2024. The first brand, ReSpin.com, has just been launched, while the second brand is currently under construction and is scheduled to be launched later this year.
Accounting is an integral part of Finance and is a source of truth about Sisu Group financials. We are looking for a driven Accountant to assist with various accounting activities and support the international expansion of Sisu Group in the coming years.
What you'll need to succeed:
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial controlling or auditing
- Understanding of accounting processes and principles
- Good Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment, make decisions, and adapt to change
- Cooperative attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- A curious mindset and eagerness to understand how things work
- Passion about learning and adapting to new technologies
- High attention to detail and accuracy
What youll be doing:
- Planning, documenting, improving, and executing day-to-day accounting processes, including managing invoices, bank statements, payments, etc. You will have the opportunity to learn in areas that you may not have experienced earlier.
- Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing operations following established processes and adhering to IFRS/local accounting standards.
- Participating in the month-end review, analysis, and controls of Sisu Group and its subsidiaries to ensure financial accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
- Collaborating with the wider team, partners, and vendors to prepare, collect, and share accounting documentation.
- Participating in financial audits by providing required datasets, documents, control results, and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Contributing to management reporting and financial planning to support decision-making
- Supporting the Finance team with various innovative and improvement projects.
