Join the Coolbet Crew and Be Our Money Laundering Detective! As the MLRO, you'll lead our compliance with legal frameworks, regulations, and internal policies, leveraging meticulous monitoring techniques. Your pivotal role involves spearheading Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operations for customers in jurisdictions where Coolbet offers its B2C services. Stay ahead in the fast-paced iGaming landscape by tracking regulatory shifts, ensuring Coolbet remains at the forefront of compliance with evolving industry standards.
A Sneak Peek into Your Role
- Be the in-house expert in the Prevention of Money Laundering Regulations as they apply to Coolbet's gaming licenses. Ensure all relevant staff are trained and aware of AML/CFT legislation. Develop and provide AML training to staff.
- Maintain and update AML/CFT policies and procedures. Keep track of regulatory changes in all jurisdictions where Coolbet operates, inform management of these changes, and take necessary actions for compliance.
- Establish a procedure for staff to report suspicious transactions internally.
- Receive reports of potential money laundering or terrorism financing. Assess these reports and decide whether to file a Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) with the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU).
- Manage the logging of regulatory activities and assist in compliance audits.
- Oversee AML operations related to customers in countries where Coolbet offers B2C services.
You're good at
- You've earned a Bachelor's degree in Law.
- You have gained at least 3 years of experience in iGaming compliance or a similar role within a highly regulated industry. Expertise in iGaming AML compliance is a plus.
- You possess a certification demonstrating proficiency in Anti-Money Laundering. Suitable certifications include the International Compliance Association (ICA) Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering/Financial Crime Prevention or the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
- You are a strong communicator and collaborator, goal-oriented, strategic and analytical thinker, proactive and resilient under pressure. Proficient in problem-solving, multitasking, leadership, and coaching.
- You are effective in resource management, prioritization, and maintaining integrity, capable of making independent decisions, especially regarding Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) filing.
- Fluency in verbal and written English is a must, as it's our primary means of communication.
