As our CRO you will develop, implement and maintain an independent 2nd line of defense risk management function, including investment risk management. For the start you will ensure that all applicable risks are identified, measured and relevant controls are implemented, securing the compliance with the approved risk appetite and applicable regulations. You will have a Pan-Baltic team of investment and sustainability risk specialists with whom together to ensure strategic alignment of activities and effective usage of competences.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, implement and maintain the overall risk management framework, including risk taxonomy, policy and risk appetite
  • Define, set up and monitor risk limit and control system to ensure consistency of the incurred risk with the defined risk appetite; including the investment risk limits to ensure the compliance of each managed fund with the agreed risk profile and applicable regulations
  • Perform regular assessment of implemented internal controls, their efficiency and sufficiency and suggestion of applicable additional control mechanisms
  • Develop and constantly improve quantitative and qualitative risk measurement models and tools including stress tests and perform regular risk assessment
  • Monitor and analyze the risk and return characteristics of portfolios managed by Luminor Pensions, providing insights on sources of risk and return to the Investment Management Unit, MB and SC
  • Ensure timely regular reporting to all the stakeholders, including MB, SC and Banks Risk department
  • Manage relationships internal and external counterparts in the area of risk management, ensure timely response and efficient cooperation with Internal and External audit, Compliance and Banks Risk department

 

What We Expect:

  • 5+ years experience in areas related to fund management or investment analysis or investment risk analysis or financial markets or finance engineering
  • 1+ years of experience in managerial role
  • Knowledge of financial markets, instruments and techniques
  • Risk management knowledge in the investment area
  • Knowledge in the pension product area as well as in portfolio management
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis and programming tools (eg. Matlab, R, VBA) will be considered as an advantage
  • Preferably a professional user of Bloomberg
  • CFA, PRM, FRM, CAIA or other licenses / certificates in investment, risk or financial markets area will be considered as an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent English and local language is required in spoken and written communication
