Senior Software Engineer - Casino team
The Job in a Nutshell
Our casino team is the driving force behind our product - Casino. This dedicated team oversees all casino integrations and ensures the availability of data for post-processing across various departments and teams. Integrating with casino providers serves multiple purposes. Primarily, it facilitates the introduction of new games for our customers, as Coolbet doesn't develop its own games. Additionally, certain providers' APIs offer valuable insights, such as detailed game interactions, helping various departments in their day-to-day functions, like customer support, or directly engaging with customers, as seen with the marketing team offering bonuses. Seizing such opportunities enables us to automate processes within our system, streamlining the work of the casino business team and saving time.
As a member of the casino team, your role involves taking on responsibilities related to integrating new providers, implementing fresh functionalities, and ensuring the seamless operation, effectiveness, and, most crucially, the efficiency of our core casino services.
A Sneak Peek into Your Role
- Taking responsibility for writing clean, maintainable code.
- Conducting and receiving code reviews, and providing constructive feedback as needed.
- Rigorously testing your code, including the creation of unit and integration tests.
- Demonstrating expertise in developing and maintaining services while adhering to best practices in code writing.
- Meticulously planning and grooming new features and functionalities.
- Playing a key role in software architecture planning and design.
- Applying your practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes infrastructure to your tasks.
- Engaging with stakeholders to clarify and understand business requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
- Cooperating with internal and external parties to specify or get information, etc.
- Actively participating in both planned and ad-hoc Agile meetings.
You're good at
- You have experience as a Software Engineer, with a preference for experience in an international setting and enterprise projects.
- You have expertise in Node.js (TypeScript), a knack for navigating relational databases (especially PostgreSQL), and hands-on experience with micro-services and distributed systems (think Docker and Kubernetes).
- A solid understanding of distributed systems and services architecture is a big plus in our book.
- If you can whip up REST APIs like a seasoned magician, you're the engineer we're looking for.
- Work independently on tasks of medium complexity, consult with a higher-level developer, etc. while handling more complicated issues.
- Being self-motivated, proactive, and a team player is music to our ears.
- Fluency in verbal and written English is a must, as it's our primary means of communication.
