Duties and Responsibilities

As Key Account Manager, you are part of Boku's Global Account Management team. You serve as the key contact between Boku and our Merchants.

In this role, your main goal is to help our merchants across different industries to expand and grow their revenue through local payment methods.
Your role is focused on building and strengthening relationships with Boku's largest existing accounts like Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Spotify among many others. You will be developing the business we have with our key partners by actively pursuing opportunities for growth.

To achieve this, you will work closely with our Account Directors and stakeholders from other teams in executing account growth strategies of your portfolio Merchants. 

As a Key Account Manager, you

  • are responsible for set revenue targets linked to your portfolio Merchants
  • develop and maintain strong relationships with your portfolio Merchants
  • seek and realize growth opportunities including new launches (Products, Connections, Services) and optimization
  • are the voice of the merchant internally and liaise with all departments to align on strategy and execution.


  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales/account management roles in the payments/software industry
  • Can demonstrate a track record of accomplished sales results and targets
  • Experience in project management and have delivered custom solutions for business partners
  • Good if you have some international experience in payments, but it's not mandato

  • You are a great communicator. Excellent in verbal and written English, speaking another language is a plus.
  • You are used to working in cross-functional teams, with an ability to deliver commercially successful products and services that wow customers.

  • You deal well with ambiguity and respond flexibly to change.
  • You have strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to gather insights from data instead of just regurgitating it.
  • You are comfortable getting your hands dirty in day-to-day tasks to get things done. No task is beneath you.
  • You have high stress tolerance and capability of dealing with multiple competing topics at the same time.
