Yes, you can! That's our attitude towards our work, ambitions, ideas, and relationships. We at Luminor believe that anyone has the potential to achieve big things and encourage everyone to achieve them, professionally and personally.

Whoever you are and whatever your role is, with Luminor, you will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a local banking champion.

As a Compliance Governance Area Lead, your mission is to shape and continuously improve Luminor’s Pan-Baltic Compliance governance framework while leading a high-performing team. You will ensure that Compliance processes, reporting, tools, and ways of working support strong decision-making, operational efficiency, and a risk-aware culture across the organisation.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Pan-Baltic Compliance governance processes, including compliance risk assessments, quarterly reporting, work planning, competence and capacity assessments, and compliance self-assessments

  • Own and develop the Compliance governance framework, including its training framework, tools, and registries

  • Improve operational efficiency by simplifying processes, strengthening ways of working, and identifying opportunities for standardisation and automation

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality Compliance Division reporting to Luminor management while managing stakeholders effectively

  • Lead the Compliance Governance team by setting clear objectives, aligning priorities with Luminor’s strategy, and delegating responsibilities effectively

  • Recruit, onboard, retain, and develop the right talent while supporting team wellbeing

  • Foster cross-divisional and cross-departmental collaboration and promote a strong risk-aware culture across the organisation

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Professional experience in governance, risk and compliance, internal audit, banking, financial regulation, or a related area

  • A higher education degree, preferably in law, finance, economics, business management, or a similar field

  • A good understanding of banking governance, processes, and systems

  • Strong leadership, people management, and coaching capabilities

  • Strong process management, analytical, stakeholder management, and risk assessment capabilities with strategic and results-oriented mindset

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  • The ability to collaborate effectively across functions, departments, and Baltic countries

  • High integrity, strong ethical standards, and an impeccable professional reputation

  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to use AI tools to improve productivity, collaboration, analysis, and the quality of work

  • Fluent English and local language skills are required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level

Why You Will Love Working Here:

  • Flexibility. Flexible working hours, Hybrid work, and the possibility to work from anywhere in the EU, Iceland, Switzerland, and the UK (in total 90 days per year)

  • International teams. Teams that go outside Pan-Baltic borders, where people value challenging work together with good humor and having fun

  • Culture. You’ll be joining a team where things move fast, ideas flow freely, and change is part of the everyday. It’s a dynamic environment that keeps you learning, growing, and never bored

  • Volunteer time off. We care about giving back to society, therefore, you will get additional days off for volunteering purposes

  • Paid leave. We are proud of our employees who are participating in military training. Therefore, Luminor offers 30 fully paid calendar days for military training every year

  • Health benefits. A competitive benefits package in addition to your salary that includes health insurance after the first 3 months pass in all three Baltic states, as well as Health days in case of your absence due to sickness without a doctor's note needed
