We’re looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to shape Bolt Food’s Salesforce platform, bring AI into everyday commercial workflows and take ownership of technical design and engineering delivery.
About us
With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people.
We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!
About the role
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll help shape the Salesforce platform used by Bolt Food’s Sales, Merchant Operations and Merchant Success teams, from lead generation to merchant onboarding and account management.
You’ll join the Commercial Enablement team, reporting to the Head of the department and working closely with other Salesforce developers. This hands-on role combines architecture, development and delivery ownership. Your immediate focus will be bringing AI into Salesforce while building reliable solutions that make everyday commercial work easier.
You’ll shape technical decisions and help ensure the architecture and data model can support the platform’s next stage of development. You’ll define how people and AI agents work with Salesforce, balancing useful automation with appropriate access controls and guardrails. You’ll also take ownership of the team’s day-to-day engineering rhythm, working with in-house and external developers to turn clearly scoped work into reliable delivery.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Developing scalable solutions with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and Salesforce APIs, following Git, code review and deployment standards.
- Partnering with Enablement Managers to understand commercial needs, question assumptions, propose simpler solutions and document designs before development.
- Designing access for people and AI agents, including Salesforce MCP, with appropriate OAuth scopes, field-level security and audit trails. Defining agent permissions and autonomy, guardrails, cost controls and effectiveness measures.
- Evaluating and deploying native AI capabilities such as Agentforce, Einstein, summaries and enrichment, and deciding when to use existing tools or build custom solutions.
- Integrating Salesforce with Databricks, internal APIs and external vendors, including scoping, API design and testing with vendor engineering teams.
- Coordinating engineering delivery, including standups, three-week sprint planning and backlog reviews. Reviewing estimates, clarifying scope, dependencies and risks, tracking commitments and communicating delays and trade-offs early.
About you
- You have senior-level experience building Salesforce in-house within a product company, using Apex, JavaScript/LWC, Flows and APIs, and taking solutions from design to delivery.
- You understand Salesforce’s data and security models, governor limits, storage constraints and integration patterns, and can judge when another platform is a better fit.
- You have experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware and event-driven integrations, including working with external vendor engineering teams.
- You use AI in your daily development work and can explain how you check its output. Experience implementing AI solutions, including Agentforce, Einstein, Prompt Builder or MCP, is an advantage.
- You can organise engineering work, assess estimates and coordinate internal and outsourced developers while balancing project commitments and changing stakeholder requests.
- You seek to understand business needs, suggest improvements and work effectively with others. You communicate fluently in English and explain technical trade-offs so commercial stakeholders can make decisions.
At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there's a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You're still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.
Experience is great, but we also look for drive, intelligence, and integrity. So, even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying if you feel you’re the kind of person described above!
