About the role

As an FP&A Analyst, Group Payroll, you will help improve the accuracy, transparency, and understanding of payroll and workforce costs across the Group. You will deliver high-quality financial analysis and reporting that helps Finance and business leaders understand payroll performance, key cost drivers, trends, and variances.

This role combines detailed data analysis with financial planning and performance management. You will analyse actual payroll costs, support headcount and personnel cost forecasting, investigate variances, and reconcile data across financial and people systems. You will also help build scalable reporting processes, financial models, and dashboards that improve visibility and support effective decision-making.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large and complex datasets, while collaborating closely with FP&A, People, Accounting, and Finance Technology teams.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

* Analyse Group payroll and workforce costs, identifying key trends, cost drivers, variances, and overall financial performance.

* Support budgeting and forecasting for payroll-related costs, including salaries, bonuses, employer taxes, benefits, and other personnel expenses, while improving forecast accuracy through updated assumptions and organisational changes.

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and full-year variance analysis against budget, forecast, prior periods, and prior year, with clear and meaningful commentary for Finance and senior stakeholders.

* Reconcile payroll, headcount, and financial data across systems, investigate discrepancies, and support improvements in data quality, reporting processes, and financial controls.

* Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and ad hoc financial models that provide clear visibility into Group-level and country-level payroll costs and workforce KPIs.

About you:

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field, with proven experience in FP&A, financial analysis, controlling, payroll finance, or a related role in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.

* Experience working with large and complex datasets, including reconciling information from multiple systems and identifying data quality issues.

* Solid understanding of P&L management, forecasting, financial accounting, and performance reporting, with familiarity with tools such as Pigment, Workday, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.

* Advanced English communication skills, strong stakeholder management, high attention to detail, and a proactive ownership mindset focused on continuous improvement and automation.
