We are now looking for Trade Credit Services Specialist to join our Business Service Centre Team in Tallinn. This is a temporary position as a replacement for the person who is on maternity leave. You will be supporting operational risk processes for Biomaterials division via securities such as Export and Import Letters of Credit, SBLCs, and Supplier Guarantees. As a Specialist you will mainly work with examination of Letter of Credits and creation of necessary documents for bank submission as per documentary credit instruction but can also be assigned other tasks. You will cooperate closely with Banks, Chamber of Commerce, Customs, Trade Finance Community as well as with internal stakeholders such as Group Treasury, Group Accounting and other Group Functions.

Main tasks cover the following:
  • Handling Letter of Credit volumes based on risk country, Stora Enso mill and complexity of the cases.
  • Professionally dealing with guarantees for Stora Enso Biomaterials mills.
  • Coordinating daily tasks and document corrections with the banks.
  • Advice to internal and external stakeholders based on expertise in ICC Uniform Customs & Practices, International Standard Banking Practice for examination of documents under Documentary Credits.
  • Advice to internal and external stakeholders based on expertise in Shipping rules for Letter of Credit cases (Laivauskäsikirja).
  • Preparation of legally required documents e.g., to be manually stamped by Customs, Chamber of Commerce, legalisation of documents, etc.
  • Single point of contact for the partner banks and internal stakeholders to solve day to day issues.

Your main location will be Tallinn, and you will be working in Finance Function. You will report to Director, RtR and Controlling Support. We apply hybrid/onsite way of working.

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a dedicated professional who understands the business needs, risk factors and expectations. The ideal candidate has a degree or higher education studies in for instance finance or accounting as well as relevant work experience in export trade, sales and/or invoicing. To succeed in this role, you should be attentive to detail and have the ability for advanced data comparison. We are working at times with high workload so it would be great if you are a hard-working team player with a proactive and flexible approach.

Skills, we expect you to have:
  • You communicate fluently in English. Estonian, Finish and Swedish is an asset.
  • Excel is in frequent use so you should have skills in MS Office at an advanced level.
  • Energetic person who gets things done with an analytical, yet pragmatic approach.
  • Willingness to take initiative to proactively provide solutions.
