Requirements for candidates
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree
- Minimum 4 or 6 years of professional experience, of which:
- Minimum 2 or 4 years of experience are in the main area of expertise
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS Excel
- Project management certification advantageous
- Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage processes and resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Negotiation, supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate (if relevant)
Job description
- Manage the implementation of various tasks to meet identified business needs
- Acquire and use the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality
- Understand goals and objectives, and ensure that projects are setup to achieve these goals
- Define and maintain excellent overall communications throughout the project phases
- Proactively identify and manage all significant issues and risks and escalate as necessary
- Report and communicate status
- Assure that process effectiveness is consistently managed. This involves providing an advisory service to the contracting authority managers and teams
- Support/coach other team members
- Assess the potential risks and undertake risk management
- Think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
- Manage change and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes in the project
- Attend meetings to discuss progress and report
