for beauty and small domestic appliances categories (floorcare, garment care, kitchen appliances and coffee)

The purpose of the merchandiser position is to maintain strong relationship with retail outlets and ensure Philips retail execution on highest level.


To follow up Philips display at retail outlets:

  • to visit retail outlets according to visit plan and provide standard reports on retail visits
  • to maintain customer relationships by visiting with store managers and sales staff; answering their questions; responding to special requests; describing product features
  • to conduct shelf space analyses
  • to monitor promotions, retail price changes and provide regular information to management

To develop Philips shelf space at retail outlets both for direct and indirect customers:

  • to recommend best layout for retail shop and secure high Philips visibility in shops
  • to arrange space management at shelf areas devoted to Philips
  • to secure that Philips display is kept on high standard and trendy according to corresponding image guidelines

To organize promotions and advertising campaigns at POS:

  • to execute and oversee special promotional campaigns at POS
  • to arrange delivery and execute control over usage of POS advertising materials
  • to organize and participate product demonstrations to consumers

To provide product training to shop assistants:

  • to be specialist in benefits and technical features for relevant Philips products
  • to organize and carry out product and sales training to shop floor sales personnel
  • to support management of dealer organization in planning and executing product training


  • to check up product range and inventory levels at retail and to inform KAM (key account manager) about business opportunities.
  • to do other job related tasks according to requests of management


  • Good communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to work within team and independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Driver’s license
  • Estonian, English and Russian language skills
