The successful candidate will join Luminors Compliance Office Department. We are responsible for advising Luminors business and support lines on implementation of different initiatives and projects, overseeing compliance risk management, providing independent assessment of the compliance status and advising the management bodies on measures to be taken to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will be part of Luminors second line and will independently advise, monitor, assess, challenge and report on the management of compliance risk related to investment and ancillary services. You will closely work with various stakeholders across Luminor on ambitious and exciting tasks, initiatives, and projects. In cooperation with other Luminor internal control functions and team members, you will assess and advise on existing frameworks, processes, related control environment for investment and ancillary services, and provide recommendations for their redesign and improvement in line with the supervisory expectations

What You Will Do:

•  Contributing to building regulatory compliance in investment and ancillary services (focus on markets and treasury) through independent compliance risk assessment and compliance advisory, assurance and awareness raising activities
• Assessing and overseeing compliance risk management in the first line
• Understanding the regulatory environment, emerging trends, regulatory focus and supervisory expectations to support proper compliance risk management
• Providing advice and guidance with respect to the regulatory requirements applicable to investment and ancillary services and on redesign of the relevant frameworks, processes and controls to ensure their effectiveness and conformity with the regulations
• Monitoring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations and following-up on the remediation actions
  
• Overseeing various regulatory projects in the assigned area
• Conducting trainings and other awareness raising activities on regulatory requirements
• Providing insight, support and guidance to Luminors managing bodies and contributing to independent compliance risk reporting

What We Expect: 

• Masters degree in law
• 3+ years of experience in investment services and/or financial markets (work experience in a banks compliance or legal function would be seen as an advantage)
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the European and local regulations pertaining to investment services and experience in their implementation
• Professional certifications (CFA, BFAA or similar) would be seen as an advantage
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to effectively communicate information to audiences with varying levels of knowledge and expertise
