Position: Coordinator, full-time, permanent, start date ~ June 1st, 2024 
Reports to: BAFF Regional Director, Riga, Latvia 
Location: Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania, must be available to work on-site in a local office Other: Must be available to travel within the Baltic states and to the U.S. as required 

Overview 
CIEE administers programs on behalf of the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF). The BAFF mission is to deepen the ties between and among Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the United States through programs of education and exchange centering on economic growth and democratic values. In addition to the Research Scholar and Professional Internship scholarships and several small grants programs, BAFF offers multiple opportunities and activities to engage its 800-member alumni community.  
The successful candidate will be employed by CIEE and will collaborate with Baltic and U.S. staff to achieve position objectives for BAFF Alumni. 

Position Summary 
Alumni Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with BAFF Alumni council, Baltic- and U.S.-based staff to execute programs to engage a growing community that currently includes more than 900 alumni across the Baltics. Working with BAFF staff and the BAFF Alumni Council, whose members include BAFF Directors and appointed alumni representing various BAFF alumni constituencies, the Coordinator will collaborate on engagement strategy and program, event, and activity design and execution. This position will offer the opportunity to engage with a variety of stakeholders to intentionally connect BAFF alumni and deepen their commitment to achieving the BAFF mission in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.  
The role will evolve, based upon Director and staff input, alumni interests and needs, and the expertise of the Coordinator in developing alumni programming uniquely serving the BAFF mission and BAFF alumni. In addition to program development, marketing expertise to include design, campaign development and assessment, and engagement across a wide variety of media platforms is especially critical to success in this role. 

Professional Responsibilities 
·        Identify key objectives and key results to develop a work plan designed to meet annual and long-
term goals, aligned with strategy developed in collaboration with BAFF staff and the Alumni Council.  
·        Collaboratively develop and manage BAFF social media across a variety of platforms, including 
campaign development and assessment. 
·        Collaboratively manage systems and processes that will directly support alumni in building 
relationships with each other and with the broader community.  
·        Working closely with Alumni Council to develop alumni programs, events, and activities, 
including volunteer activities. 
·        Manage logistics, including required clerical tasks, for successful implementation of Alumni 
Council activities, alumni programs, events, and activities. 
·        Maintain communication with alumni, both at large and individually, taking care to engage 
alumni representing various constituencies and interests. 
·        Collaboratively manage the BAFF alumni online platform, LinkedIn group, and other social 
media. 
·        Proactively represent the interests of alumni to CIEE and BAFF leadership and BAFF Directors.
·        Work closely with the in-region program director, scholarship and alumni coordinator, and U.S. staff, contributing to application review, orientation, and other program activities as needed.

Requirements  
·        University degree, plus 3-5 years relevant work experience 
·        International education or professional experience preferred 
·        Knowledge of not-for-profit organizational context, mission, and goals  
·        Ability and willingness to remain flexible, as role requirements and circumstances require
·        Volunteer management and alumni experience preferred 
·        Ability to work on-site in Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania 
·        Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally (25-50%, as required) 
·        Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral  
·        Strong MS Office skills and experience
